5 things I always have in my yoga/workout bag:
I honestly don’t have a yoga/workout bag…I tend to be a minimalist. So I usually just take my Manduka Eko towel, Manduka ProLite and a water bottle to class and call it a day. And if I’m doing some other workout…I have whatever I need on my body and bring a water bottle. Keeps it easy.
Favorite fitness-wear brands:
I’m still in search of my “perfect” workout gear. But some current favorites for yoga pants are Teeki (an environmentally friendly and conscious line). Sports bras…usually any cute strappy back that offers me support at the same time. I’m super excited about Manduka’s new apparel line that launches Spring 2016!
Favorite time of day for class:
Ufff….that’s a hard one…being a single mom, the answer is whenever I can fit it in!
Gear that changed my practice:
My favorite gear is Manduka. Once I found them, Manduka changed it all. Now there ain’t no goin back, haha!
Always lots of water because I sweat like a crazy person. Then usually whatever I have in the fridge. My go-to is a little something I call cottage cheese roll-ups:
- corn tortillas
- cottage cheese
- nutritional yeast
- oh and I can’t forget my secret family dressing. 😉
Best gym-to-street tip:
With as much as I sweat it’s not often I go from class to street, because I usually require a shower, haha! But if I had to I’d say bring a fresh change of clothes, some baking soda and your favorite essential oil to mix together and use as a post deodorant and call it a day! I always bring a plastic bag for all my sweaty stuff so they don’t sit soaking and smelling up my car.
