Why do we practice backbends in yoga? These poses open the heart chakra, build courage and stamina, and give us the sort of energy that propels us to reach out toward others. All good benefits right?
Backbends can be really hard for some yogis (I’m in this camp!) but whether you love them or
hate them are learning to love them, this workshop will help you expand your abilities as you build to a specific group of poses, with modifications and options to ensure a safe practice throughout. The sequence will properly warm the body up so you will experience the fullest expression of each pose with the focus on exploring your body’s capability for expansion, balance, and strength in a playful, humble way.
