At The Green Yogi we’re all about good clean living. Some of us are vegan others are carnivores, some yogis love their whole wheat pasta while others opt for quinoa instead, we have wine lovers and alcohol abstainers. Regardless of cuisine and beverage preferences we are ALL about what makes us feel good.
Which is why I wanted to share my new favorite cookbook, It’s All Good, by Gwyneth Paltrow and Julia Turshen. I know there are a ton of Gwyneth haters, especially since goop, but there are so many delicious recipes in this book that could fit into every type of healthy lifestyle, I had to share. I was given It’s All Good as a birthday gift and I have already bought 2 additional copies to give as gifts for my sister and friends. I read the entire book cover to cover the first week I had it and I’ve NEVER read a cookbook from start to finish. I’ve never understood why someone would, you want to cook salmon just go to the fish section right? No. Their story and philosophy on food is well written and aligns with my own, eat whole food.
Simple right? There are so many beautiful flavors in food there’s no need to use sauces or foods that have been processed. I’ve already made 4 awesome main dishes that are all going to be new staples at our house, even our 16 month old loved them. The Grilled Salmon with Grilled Lemon Vinaigrette, Turkey Meatballs, Many-Mushroom Soup, and Super-Crispy Roast Chicken.
Another feature, besides all the pretty food photography, that I love is a weekly schedule based on your health goals to help you plan out your meals for the week. Do you have a favorite cookbook? If so please share!
