With Manduka we’d like to congratulate our Yogi of the Month for August, Kristy Kelsey. Kristy started practicing with us in September of 2010 and has taken almost 350 times since! And she is deepening her practice even more this August as she travels to Bali to train with “Green Yogi Guru” Julie Rader. Kristy’s dedication inspires our team, we are so grateful for her presence. FUN FACT ABOUT YOU: I love traveling, I have been to 10 countries and adding another with a month long retreat in Bali as we speak.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE INSTRUCTOR AND WHY? I love love love Julie, she has taught me so much on and off the mat.
WHAT IS YOUR INTENTION FOR YOUR YOGA PRACTICE? My intentions are always changing, but right now its finding happiness and gratitude in everything.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE YOGA POSE? I have so many, but I would have to say I always request frog pose.
WHEN YOU AREN’T ON THE MAT, WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU? If I’m not at yoga then you can find me at the beach, on a bike ride or hiking in PV.
WHAT SONG SHOULD BE ON EVERY YOGA PLAYLIST? I love all music, but anything from Fat Freddy’s Drop is a must!
WHAT INSPIRES YOU? Yoga, my yoga teachers especially and the beach.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PRACTICING AND HOW HAS YOGA IMPROVED YOUR LIFE? I’ve been practicing yoga for over 10 years now. Yoga has improved my life in every way, from making me stronger to giving me patience to teaching me gratitude.
